Implications of Freire’s Education Theory and Corresponding Action Plans for Secondary School Home Economics Education

The purpose of this study was to explore the implications Freire’s education theory for secondary school Home Economics Education (HEedu). We conducted a review books written by Freire and classified characteristics his into 9 categories. Based on these categories, we concretely explored forms in which could be applied area through interviews with (HE) teachers. also searched activities that can carried out HEedu agents support given social institutions. are should exhibit love respect human beings, ethically democratically responsible, enable people dream as well hope, consciousness praxis reflection, stimulate epistemological curiosity learners’ lives experiences, promote subjectivity, autonomy self-reliance, engage dialogue bring about change relationships rather than viewing skill, political engagement. Freire‘s therefore has multiple purpose, mission, content education, teaching methods perspectives, directions regarding role HE results expected provide practical assistance developing persuasive curriculum help learners restore subjectivity beings their society expanding horizons philosophy from critical science Habermas theory.
